10.20.08 JOHN MILLER/DAVID SPINOZZA QUARTET Friday, October 24th - 9:00 - $15 JAZZ FLAVOURED R&B FOUR OF NY'S BUSIEST STUDIO PLAYERS The Miller/Spinozza Quartet plays jazz flavored R&B music and is made up of David Spinozza (guitar), John Miller (bass),Clifford Carter on keys and Clint de Ganon (drums). Between them, the four are a virtual supergroup that has collaborated with a who's who in music list a mile long. David Spinozza first gained notoriety for his work with former Beatles Paul McCartney and John Lennon. He lent his guitar work to McCartneys Ram album and Lennon's Mind Games. He also has had a long time collaboration with Berkshire hero James Taylor and even produced JT's Walking Man. John Miller (bass) is best known for his work on Broadway. A master of all musical styles, he has contracted over 100 shows and is a regular in NY studios. Miller has collaborated with the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, B.B. King, Harry Connick, Jr., Eric Clapton, Tommy Flanagan, Gil Evans, Mose Allison, Tony Bennet, James Brown, P. Diddy, Luther Vandross, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Peter Seager and The New York Philharmonic. Clifford Carter has also been a long time collaborator with James Taylor. He has also played with the likes of Paul Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Natalie Cole, Bette Midler, Carly Simon Patti Scialfa Chris Botti, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, Narada Michael Walden and Herbie Mann. Clint de Ganon (drums) has played on over 1,000 recording sessions and over 75 tours. He is currently out with Art Garfunkle and has spent time with Blues Brothers Band, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Chuck Loeb, Curtis Stigers, Billy Preston, Warren Bernhardt, Mark Cohn, The New York Voices, Mitch Forman, Cornell Dupree, Cissy Houston, Edgar Winter, and Linda Eder.
